Guru Amar Das Sahib Ji gurU Amr dws jI (May, 1479 – September, 1574), was the third of the Ten Gurus of Sikhism and became Guru on April, 1552 at the age of 73, following the footsteps of Sri Guru Angad Dev Sahib ji, who left for his heavenly abode on March, 1552, aged 48.​
